A fully functional built-in illumination sensor allows for light-based automations via the Aqara Home app. The M1S Gen 2 boasts all-round compatibility, supporting popular smart home ecosystems and voice assistants such as Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, IFTTT, Yandex, and Marusya. Matter support is planned via an over-the-air (OTA) update after its official release.
